Auguste Renoir - paintings from 1900 to 1905

Renoir's late paintings demonstrate his persistent appreciation of landscape, even at the end of his life. By the time he painted The Farm at Les Collettes, seen at left, he suffered from such acute arthritis that he could neither walk nor hold his brushes, which had to be tied to the backs of his hands by assistants.
